Each beautifully translucent fire opal bead is wire wrapped in Sterling silver.

Oregon fire opal is similar to amber in it's honey shades, but it has a waxier opalescent glow. These beads are smooth and glassy to the touch, and are lighter weight than many other beads of the quartz family (jaspers, agates, opals). A very attractive and meaningful chaplet.
