Stormy Night Iolite
While most Iolite is a lighter lavender or purple color, these stones are dramatically dark, with black and midnight blue coloration. Spots of earthy brown light a few of the beads up, while large translucent sections provide beautiful windows into the stones. These beads are evocative of a stormy night; with wispy midnight blues and blacks swirling around each other.
The bright sterling silver parts and wire are a lovely contrast to the dark stones without being overpowering. A small miraculous medal hangs from the drop. This piece was made during a thunderstorm in the evening, and is equally as striking as one!
