This gorgeous medal of St. Augustine and his mother, St. Monica is extremely rare. It took years for us to acquire one, and our original is in pristine condition, so these reproductions are lovely. St. Augustine is depicted as the Bishop of Hippo, holding his staff, the book and the flaming heart. At his feet is the pelican. On the reverse, the devout St. Monica kneels in prayer at the shoreline with crashing waves in the near ground and a ship and palm tree in the background. This medal is weighty.
